Red Sox Announce First 2 Months Of Giveaway Nights For 2024 Season
We are a few short weeks away from pitchers and catchers reporting for spring training. To build the anticipation and excitement, the Boston Red Sox have announced the first nine giveaway nights of the 2024 season. This has a unique collection of memorable game experiences for fans heading to games in April and May.
“The Red Sox today announced that tickets for Opening Day and games through June 5 will go on sale Thursday, January 11 at 10 a.m. on redsox.com/tickets,” the team said in a press release late yesterday.

While some of these dates have specific details, such as “weather permitting” and select sizes available, they each offer those in attendance an additional token to enjoy their Fenway Park outing.
2024 Season
The Red Sox will start their season on the west coast this year in Seattle to take on the Mariners. Their first pitch comes on Thursday, March 28. Opening Day at Fenway Park will be on Tuesday, April 9. This is a three-game series where they welcome in the Baltimore Orioles.
“Red Sox 2024 single-game tickets start as low as $20, and tickets are available in all seating areas, including the popular Green Monster seats, Sam Deck tables, and Field Box tickets.” the team explained.
Other home game series at Fenway Park that are notable include the New York Yankees first coming to town the weekend of June 14. In addition, the Red Sox will host interleague games vs. attractive national league teams. This includes the Chicago Cubs, San Diego Padres, and Arizona Diamondbacks (NL 2023 champion) are making trips to Boston this year. The 2023 World Series champs, the Texas Rangers, will come to Fenway August 12 – 14.

For the Bruins, hall of famer Johnny Bucyk wore #9 for over 20 years. It, too, is retired by the Bruins.

The Bruins retired Terry O’Reilly’s #24. He was a fan-favorite who was widely known for his relentless effort.

Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek also wore #33. The team’s fourth captain, he was a crucial component to both the 2004 and 2007 World Series teams. He’s currently part of the coaching staff and still sporting #33.

David Ortiz rocked #34 for his entire Red Sox career. Ortiz had his number retired in 2017. A three-time world series champion and 10-time all-star, “Big Papi” is arguably the most loved player in the franchise’s history.
#34 was raised in the TD Garden in honor of “The Truth.” Paul Peirce was #34 during his 15 seasons with the Celtics. He was the cornerstone of the big three that won the championship in 2008. Pierce was also the MVP of that NBA finals.
