Catch Of The Week: Molly Mae And Sold Under Sin!
Meet: Molly Mae and Sold Under Sin
Molly: Lead vocals and guitar
Keith: Mandolin and vocals
Mark: Guitar
Mike: Guitar
Molly Mae from Woburn, Massachusetts has one of those voices. It reaches out touches you, and pulls you in. There is a haunting, beautiful quality about it. It’s dark, and rich in texture. Perfect and imperfect. Molly was featured as my Catch of the Week back in 2016. Since then she has graduated from Berklee College of Music, auditioned for the American Idol reboot on ABC (where she made it to Hollywood week), and just auditioned for another popular show! She still performs as a solo artist but also has been busy working with the band Sold Under Sin. This talented band is an ideal vessel for Molly’s talents. Somehow the contrast of their experience, individuality, musical styles and talents all works together. Combining blues, folk, rock and country seems seamless to Sold Under Sin. What is the Sold Under Sin sound? According to the band, “we really try to bring strong vocals with a lot of harmonies on top of acoustic guitars to create our unique sound.” They subscribe to the “we play everything” mantra. “From Keith Urban to Led Zeppelin to Beyonce is a great way to sum up the SUS sound.”
