Catch Of The Week: Brianna Nelson
Meet: Brianna Nelson
Brianna Nelson is a 20 year old Berklee College of Music student, who grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Her sound primarily incorporates elements of folk and pop but she could just about sing anything and nail it. When she sings, you hang on to every word. Her vocals are soaring, yet intimate, her range impressive and her modest confidence is refreshing. She has been singing since she was about 10 years old. It was school that really got her into performing. After picking up the guitar at 13, she learned four chords, wrote a song, and was hooked!
In 2014, at just 15 years old, Brianna was cast on The Voice- Season 6 Blind Auditions in Los Angeles. Since then she’s released and EP and been performing all over the country from Philadelphia to Nashville and Boston, in addition to studying music at Berklee. She is loving her time living in Boston now.
Brianna Belts It Out
Brianna made time to pay us a visit over her summer break at Berklee and graced us with a couple of original songs.
Take a listen to the soulful “Seven Loves”
I get a little Sarah McLaclan vibe on Brianna’s beautiful “Real Man”
