Catch Of The Week: Houston Bernard
Meet: Houston Bernard from Lexington, MA
His license says Lexington, MA, but you can’t take the Oklahoma out of this Midwesterner! Houston grew up in Norman, OK where his father and uncle played in country bands with stars like Tanya Tucker and Sleepy Labeef, in Nashville and Oklahoma in the 1970s. He was greatly inspired by his family’s rockabilly, country mix. Bernard started writing songs as early as five years old! He picked up guitar, piano and drums along the way. Dwight Yoakam, Elvis and Willie Nelson have left their imprint on Houston and he continues to find motivation in their music. He loves what he does and it’s evident in every performance, whether delivering a passionate ballad or arousing a crowd with a party anthem. Houston is the real deal.
