Catch Of The Week: Chelsey Carter
Meet: Chelsey Carter from Sherborn, MA (Now living in Nashville)
Traditional? Yes. A little edgy? Check. Fearless, fun, lyrical and driven? Hell yeah. Definitely. No doubt. And clearly. Chelsey Carter is all that and the kitchen sink. A gifted singer/songwriter seemingly committed to keeping tradition alive, yet progressive in her approach. Exhaling honesty and joy with every note, you can’t help but feel Chelsey is doing exactly what she was meant to do, and what she needs to do.
Check 1, 2, Chelsea
Chelsey was back in Mass visiting and I caught up with her, and asked her to share some new music. Watch her perform her clever and lively original, “Send You There,” from her EP “Nothin’ Better To Do.”
Here, Chelsey performs her emotional ballad, “Good Time On The Side”
Take a listen to the official studio recording of “Send You There,” which you will hear some of this Thursday at 12:30 on Country 102.5!
