John Cena Rocks Custom ‘Kowloon Restaurant’ Sneakers On Wrestlemania
John Cena’s Kowloon Restaurant Custom Sneakers
You can be just like John Cena too! You just have to do a few things. First, spend your life working out. Second, be obsessed with wrestling. Third, wear these $500 custom Kowloon Restaurant AF-1 Nike sneakers.
This weekend at Wrestlemania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, John Cena took the stage. The crowd went wild to see a legend back in the ring. He was wrestling WWE Superstar, Austin Theory. The only thing we noticed was the custom Kowloon Restaurant kicks that John was wearing while competing.
The Kowloon Restaurant is located in Saugus, MA, and it’s been a staple on Route 1 since 1950. It is owned by the Wong family, and for the past 73 years, it has served the best Chinese food on the East Coast. We have all tried their famous Saugus Wings. Most of us have seen a comedy show upstairs. And the special ones have celebrated a wedding rehearsal dinner at the Kowloon.
My family has been going to the Kowloon since my dad was 4 years old (he grew up in Wakefield, MA), and he’s been taking my sister and me there since we were born. My husband and I have even performed there for their outdoor summer concert series.
Kowloon Restaurant Custom Sneakers
The Kowloon teamed up with Blue Swayed Shoes to design these custom Kowloon Air Force 1 Nike sneakers. According to BlueSwayedShoes’ instagram page, he hand-painted these sneakers. They were on sale on the Kowloon Restaurant website for $500. Only 100 sneakers were made for people to buy, but lucky John for getting a pair!
Kowloon Restaurant owner, Bobby Wong said in a statement, “We came up with the idea as a fun way to raise money for different charities. The Kowloon sneaker is the first in a series with more series to come. We are working with various local charities and will feature their logo on future sneakers with proceeds going to the charity.”
