A Glimpse Inside My Magical Irish Vacation (Never Seen Before Photos!)
I had the most amazing, magical Irish vacation with the two guys I love the most.
You may have already read my two blogs I wrote about how different America is to Ireland. You can read the first one here. And the part two here. But many of you have asked where we stayed over the eight nights that we were in Ireland. You also wanted to see more pictures from our vacation. SO I am here to answer those questions for you!
The Places We Stayed In Ireland
We went on a 8-night vacation in Ireland and this time around we explored the Southern West coast of the country. Here are the hotels and cities we stayed in. We found all of the hotels on Hotels.com.
-
Night 1 – Limerick:
We flew into Shannon Airport, and the biggest, closest city is one called Limerick. Our flight landed at 6:15am, and by the time we got our rental car we arrived into Limerick at 8am, we had all morning to walk around and explore. We grabbed our first traditional Irish breakfast at a cafe. We walked 15,000 steps in and around the city until our hotel was available to check into. Speaking of hotel, we stayed at The George Limerick Hotel. It was right downtown and close to all of the restaurants and shopping. There was also an indoor parking lot in walking distance.

Night 2 & 3 – Killarney:
Killarney is a must-go when you’re in Ireland. A local Irishman told us, “It’s a place you can go to live like a millionaire and not be one.” He had a point. Killarney is stunning in all ways. They are known for their epic bed and breakfast’s. But almost all of the hotels in the town are 4-5 stars. You do feel like a princess when you walk into the lobby of your hotel. We stayed at Killarney Avenue Hotel and was extremely pleased with the accommodations. They also had an amazing bar/restaurant in the hotel that had live music at night. I highly recommend staying here.
-
Night 4 – Dingle:
Dingle was the most picturesque Irish town we have ever been to. It was a small fishing town located more than halfway down the Dingle Peninsula. It took almost an hour to get to the town of Dingle from the highway. But the drive was so worth it. This is the location where we did our family/maternity photoshoot. (You can see those photos below!) In Dingle we stayed at Dingle Harbour Hotel. There aren’t many hotels located in the area, but it was clean and convenient to downtown. We only stayed one night here, and the weather was really windy and rainy, so I wish we could do a do-over and go back in the future!
-
Night 5 & 6 – Cork:
Cork is one of the largest cities in Ireland behind Dublin. Many people suggested that we not go to Cork, but in the end we decided against their recommendations. It was a city that we’d never been to so we wanted to give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised by how great it was! Cork definitely has a vibe to it. It’s energetic and has lots of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. We Stayed in a hotel called Clayton Hotel Cork City. It overlooked a river.

Night 7 & 8 – Waterford:
Waterford was our last and final two nights in Ireland. Once again, it was a city that we weren’t expecting to like, but we really did. In a way, it was a a bit run down and tired. But there were some really special spots in the city. It’s the town where all Waterford Crystal is made. You can take tours of the facility! We also loved a restaurant called The Reg. If you are ever in Waterford give it a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised! We stayed at the Waterford Marina Hotel.
