The Search For Affordable Cadbury Eggs
Last year at this time, three days before Easter, there were NO Cadbury Eggs to be found with 40 miles of our house in Central Massachusetts. This week, Heidi in line at the supermarket brought four boxes of the regular sized Cadbury Eggs, with 4 eggs in each box. The kid rung and and, said, $42.36 please. WHOA!!!!
Of course Heidi tapped the breaks and asked why it was so expensive. Each box of four Cadbury Eggs were over $9 dollars each! We checked and found more affordable Cadbury Eggs.
So if you’re not desparate you can find on line, the four egg boxes at many outlets, if they still have them for $3.49 to $4.49 each. If you plan to go to an actual store, you may want to try the old fashioned call ahead, and ask them to put aside a few boxes for you. That can still work, if you get lucky.
I recommend going big or go home. Amazon is selling the 48 pack for $32.98 with one day shipping, to get it here in time for Easter Sunday! Considering that my wife was charged $9 bucks a for a box of four, the 48 count pack of eggs is a better deal. I just ordered it on Amazon and it should be here tomorrow.
