Justin Moore Says ‘Why We Drink’ Was Inspired By His Mother
Justin Moore’s next single is a song called “Why We Drink” and when he introduces the song in concert he says it was inspired by his mom.
Justin explains, “I feel like I need to elaborate so that’s not just what’s put out there. I ordered a drink and then, I don’t know, three or four more or something like that. My mom goes, ‘Why you drink so much?’ I go, ‘Well, it never occurred to me that I shouldn’t. I never found a reason not to.’”
He brought the idea to his co-writers, David Lee Murphy, Casey Beathard and Jeremy Stover. He says, “We sat down (and) we had a lot of fun with that one.”
“Why We Drink” is the follow-up to Justin’s #1 song, “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home,” off his latest album, Late Nights and Longnecks.
