The Academy Awards Are Right Around The Corner
The Academy Awards aka the Oscars nomination list was released yesterday and the Joker leads with 11 nominations!! Three other films have 10 nominations…. The Irishman, 1917 and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Little Women, Marriage story, Jojo Rabbit and Parasite each had 6 and Ford v Ferrari had 4 nominations. The 92nd annual Academy Awards will go down on February 9th at 8pm on ABC! Scarlett Johanson has been nominated for 2 Academy Awards at the same time with Best actress in Marriage Story and Best Supporting actress in Jojo Rabbit…which makes her only the 11th actor to be nominated for two films in the same year.
Congrats to Chrissy Metz from This is US…she just signed a recording contract with Universal Music group. She revealed over the summer she’s been writing music in Nashville for a year on her breaks.

CBS is bringing Silence of the Lambs to TV in a series called Clarice, which is based on the movie’s character Clarice Starling (played by Jodie Foster) and it will be set one year after Silence of the Lambs. It’s reported that the Hannibal Lecter character will NOT be featured in the project.

Congrats to Jason Aldean, who flew a commercial Southwest flight to their tropical Florida home….I’m kidding! what he was actually really excited about was that his 11-month old daughter, Navy, successfully completed her first flight, thanks to Mickey Mouse and Coco on the tablet.
