Don’t Be A Dip! Make This Party Dip And Be The MVP On Sunday!
So, Sunday will be a bitter sweet day for food, fun and festivities. Sure, watching The Super Bowl is fun, but we’ve been so spoiled in New England, that this year’s big game will be a tough one to swallow. Especially watching Jimmy G who… well, we all know the story. I’m rooting for Garappolo and the 49ers just because, he’s Jimmy G!
We all need to move on and look forward to next season for the Patriots, and having a good time this Sunday. It all starts with the food! I’m resharing my go-to-kids-love-it-grown-ups-love-it party appetizer…(drum roll)…The Easy Peasy Fabuleezy Buff Chick Dip! And as family and friends set to gather together for Super Bowl Sunday, you can be the MVP of the game with this ridiculously simple recipe.
Here’s what you will need:
1.Chicken (I buy a rotisserie chicken or half a roast chicken and shred 2-3 cups. The amount is up to you)
2. 1 package whipped cream cheese (8 oz)
3. 1/2- 3/4 cup of buffalo wing sauce (depending on how much chicken you shred) Franks Red Hot makes a good sauce.
4. 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
5. 1/2- 3/4 cups of ranch salad dressing
Dip best served with celery sticks, tortilla chips or French bread baguette slices
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Warm sour cream slightly in the microwave for spreading.
Spread cream cheese into an un-greased shallow baking dish.
Put chicken in a bowl and mix with buffalo sauce.
Layer chicken/sauce mixture on top of cream cheese
Spread a layer of ranch dressing over chicken
Sprinkle cheese and BAKE uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Dip chip. Open mouth. Insert. Make “mmmmm” noises. Enjoy!
Trust me, this dip will be the first thing to go!
