Great White Sharks Are Back Off Cape Cod For Summer 2020
COVID, murder hornets, now like clockwork, the Great White Sharks have returned to the waters off Cape Cod for another summer season.
Dr. Greg Skomal from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy tells WBZ Channel 4 that his team has already tagged “several sharks this season” and has placed tags on almost 200 sharks over the past 9 years.
Researchers from the Conservancy say that it’s important that people remain aware and informed of the risk of sharks off the coast, as they come relatively close to shore.
In fact, researchers have released an app that you can install to get white shark sightings, detections, and push notifications, should a shark be sighted close to a public beach.
