Polar Bear Cubs Born At Detroit Zoo For The First Time In Almost 20 Years
On November 17th, the Detroit Zoo welcomed two polar bear cubs to parents Suka and Nuka.
They said, “We can bear-ly contain our excitement!” The cubs are not named yet, but the zoo has been posting updates on its Instagram page.
The baby polar bears are the first ones to be born and successfully raised at the zoo since 2004. Both are currently being held in behind-the-scenes areas and aren’t viable to guests. A video of the new mom and her babies can be found on the zoo’s Facebook.
