Miranda Lambert and Emmylou Harris Want You To Adopt Senior Dogs
Miranda Lambert continues to help dogs in need by launching the “Love Harder” campaign for pit mixes, senior dogs, black dogs, and dogs with disabilities.
Her nonprofit, MuttNation Foundation, will be dedicating 2021 to highlighting and busting the myths about dogs that are often overlooked or last-in-line for adoption.
Miranda said via press release, “The truth is these dogs are the easiest to love, maybe because they need us the most. But with so many misperceptions, people sometimes shy away from adopting them. I want to people to see the strong bonds and the special love that can be shared with these harder to get adopted dogs.”
She added, “So, I’m asking anyone who has adopted or is fostering a senior dog, a dog with disabilities, a pit mix or a wonderful big black dog, to send us their pictures and stories and help pave the way for others who may be considering giving one of these great pets a second chance and a forever home.”

The “Love Harder” campaign kicks off today (4/8) on MuttNation and Miranda’s social platforms with a video of Miranda visiting with legendary singer/songwriter Emmylou Harris and her senior dog with special needs, Jeter. Harris runs her own shelter, Bonaparte’s Retreat, which focuses on senior dogs, large dogs, or dogs in need of imminent medical care or surgery.
