Burlington Mall Replaces Former Sears with New Restaurants and Stores
Simon Property Group has announced the next phase of the redevelopment plan for Burlington Mall, a Simon Center.
Burlington Mall is currently undergoing a makeover, which will feature several new restaurants and retail stores. Set to open this fall, the mall is adding 4 new restaurants: Parm, an Italian restaurant new to Massachusetts; Fogo De Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse; Bennett’s Sandwich Shop, a Maine-based chain with 3 other locations; and Shake Shack, a popular burger chain. In addition to the eateries, the mall is also adding 3 new retail stores over the next year, including Fabletics, Miltons The Store for Men, and Lands’ End. More restaurants and stores will be announced at a later date.
The new additions will also feature an outdoor park and event area. The one-acre outdoor gathering green space will have spacious outdoor seating, al fresco patio dining, and amenities for seasonal programming and community events. Plus, a new pedestrian connection will allow guests easy access from to the mall to The Village, with the new main entrance to be completed in June. As seen in the photos and the mall map, these new locations will take over the area where Sears used to be, which closed down at the mall in 2018.
“We are thrilled that Burlington Mall’s newest enhancements, combined with existing retail and dining offerings, provides our loyal customers a reinvented, modern and convenient shopping and dining experience,” said Justin Feldhouse, General Manager, Burlington Mall. “With a great selection of retail stores paired with a variety of dining options and new outdoor amenities, Burlington Mall will continue to be the favorite shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Greater Boston.”
