Waffle House Employee Got A Massive Tip From A Country Star
A country star left a massive tip for a Waffle House employee in North Carolina, according to news channel WFLA. The waitress, named Shirell “Honey” Lackey, was waitressing while caring for her daughter. She was also working a double shift – starting at 7 am and working until 9 pm. She wouldn’t share the identity of the country star.
Ms. Lackey says that the tipper left her $1,000 after someone in his entourage left her $50. When she noticed the four-figure tip, she says that the star said, “I have to respect a mother that would do whatever it takes to support their child in a society where people don’t even want to work anymore.”
