Patriots announce Gillette Stadium modifications for 2021 season
A lot has changed since the last time Gillette Stadium welcomed fans for a Patriots game. There will be 586 days between the last game that had fans in the stands and Thursday’s preseason game against the Washington Football Team.
With that time off, the stadium has implemented many new changes you’ll need to know before you head to Foxboro.
The ticketing process for Gillette Stadium events have gone fully mobile. Instead of using paper tickets like the good old days, fans will have to show their tickets via phone. The Gillette Stadium App is available for download and is one way to access tickets. This is all in an effort for touchless admissions and safer interactions.
Continuing with the trend of safety protocols, Gillette Stadium will not accept cash anymore. All sales must be done by card, electronic wallet or electronic watch. There will be machines around the stadium that convert cash into a VISA card that can be used at Gillette and anywhere else.
Plus, they have implemented sanitization stations around the stadium and all bathroom fixtures are now touchless.
Gillette Stadium is not requiring fans to show proof of vaccination, but they are asking all ticket holders to not attend a game or event if they have tested positive or been in contact with a positive individual in the last 14 days. The stadium is also requesting all unvaccinated fans to wear a mask.
Patriots fans will also be wowed with a new massive scoreboard in the south end zone and upgraded concessions.
