Closest Supermoon of the Year is Wednesday Night
It’s been a week for space. First, stunning photos from the James Webb Space Telescope, the largest space observatory constructed to date, were released showing an unseen universe for the first time. And on Wednesday night, the closest Supermoon of the year will be on display in the sky.
Take a look at the sky this evening and you will notice a substantial amount of light. This Supermoon will be most vibrant before midnight.
The Supermoon will not appear to be bigger than other normal full moons, but it will be considerably brighter. This of course, is because of the moon’s proximity to us down here on Earth. In fact, this moon will be about 18 thousand miles closer than an average full moon.
