Luke Bryan Gets Booed On Stage, Feels Like ‘Blake Shelton’
Luke Bryan was playing a show in Iowa on his 2022 farm Tour over the weekend when he got the crowd booing after he mentioned his favorite college football team.
After performing “Huntin’, Fishin’, Lovin’ Every Day” with songwriter Jameson Rodgers, Bryan said, “Y’all know I’m a Georgia Bulldogs fan, and we’re gonna whip all y’alls asses this year…” The crowd, who were chanting for the ISU Cyclones football program, started to boo, and Luke responded, “You all are booing me. You know what? That’s the first time I ever felt like Blake Shelton. Just do not put that on YouTube!” One fan screams out, “Too late.”
One fan posted the exchange on TikTok, writing, “Luke Bryan talking about football#lukebryan #concert #iowa #fyp.”

As we reported earlier this year, his wife Caroline put Luke on vocal rest after he cheered so hard for the Georgia Bulldogs that he lost his voice.
As she shared on Instagram in January, he lost his voice during the Georgia Bulldogs game, where his team won the National College Football Championship.
Caroline shared a photo on her Instagram of her with blue tape over her husband’s mouth. She wrote, “He’s on vocal rest after his EXCESSIVE screaming at National Championship game… can’t say I’m too unhappy about it! I plan on talking nonstop and annoying the hell out of him.”
Luke’s mom responded to the post, saying, “AIN’T NO WAY, TRUST ME.”
The Bulldogs claim three football national championships: one for the 1942 season based on the determinations of several selecting organizations and two consensus national championships for the 1980 and 2021 seasons.
The Georgia Bulldogs are the athletic teams that represent the University of Georgia. The Bulldogs compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The official mascot is an English Bulldog named Uga (derived from an abbreviation of the University of Georgia), while the costumed character version of Uga is Hairy Dawg.
