Miranda Lambert Makes A Plea For Shelter Pets
Miranda Lambert posted a video on her Instagram to remind fans to help out shelter pets all over our country.
Miranda shared a video in which she is holding back tears, saying, “Hey ya’ll, I’m just popping on here to share something with you. There is a major crisis going on in our shelters in this country right now; they are completely overcrowded and short-staffed, and we could really use your help. So on behalf of MuttNation and myself, and all the shelter pets out there, I am just asking you to consider adoption, consider fostering if that’s available for you volunteering in your local shelter in your community would sure improve some lives.”
She added, “Just here to remind you all about the babies that need our help, and don’t forget to love a shelter pet.”
Lambert captioned the post, “A little love goes a long way. Let’s help our shelters and rescue animals out y’all. Visit MuttNation.com for more info. #sharethecare.”
So many fans and friends reacted to her plea, including one fan who commented, “Love how much you advocate for shelter babies. One of our biggest dreams when we get our house, is to foster as many fur babies that we can. They need all the love.” Another fan wrote, “Because during Covid everyone went out and got dogs, and now they’re being dumped. Breeders went into overdrive to make money. It ain’t rocket science.”
One more fellow animal lover said, “Also, lots of dumps of dogs and litters. If you can’t afford to feed your dogs, call a rescue, and they will help supply you with food. Shelters are full! Don’t dump dogs! They starve to death or are killed.”
The post was liked over 10,000 times.
Miranda, at press time, has nine dogs, two cats, and several horses. She adopts from animal shelters often and even though MuttNation donates thousands and thousands of dollars annually to shelters all over the country.
