Carrie Underwood Covers Fan Who Missed Concert To Play In The NFL
A Carrie Underwood fan was recently getting ready to go to her concert in Austin, Texas when he got a call of a lifetime and had to miss the show. Carrie posted the video clip of Cameron Dicker explaining that the Los Angeles Chargers were signing him. Obviously, he had to drop everything and get on a plane.
She posted a clip of Cameron telling his story and her video response to him, saying, “Hey Cameron, Carrie Underwood here. A little birdie told me that when you were on your way to our show in Austin not too long ago when you got the call to go play for the Chargers. I just wanted to say congratulations and good luck tonight on Sunday Night Football, and I would love to have you out for a makeup concert. Any show you want to come to, just let us know, and we’ll get you hooked up. I know people. Have a great night, good luck, and see you soon.”
She shared the Instagram post that read, “Cameron Dicker was set to see @carrieunderwood in concert at the #DenimAndRhinestonesTour when suddenly he got a phone call that the Chargers wanted him to be their kicker. Don’t worry, Cameron; Carrie has you covered!”
Many fans commented on the post, including one who wrote, “Whoa, how cool!! Good for you, Carrie; super cool of you to do that for him; I bet you’ve made his whole year! Super cool!”
In August, Underwood posted a throwback clip of her time as the musical face of Sunday Night Football on NBC, saying she is back, making this Fall her 10th year with the program. Carrie captioned the video and photo of herself holding a football, “10 years, and we’re still going strong, @snfonnbc! See you Sunday nights beginning in September!”
Underwood started her musical jingle journey at NBC’s Sunday Night Football in 2012, taking over the musical reigns from Faith Hill.
