Thomas Rhett Thanks His ‘Angel’ For Taking Care Of Him
Thomas Rhett hasn’t been feeling very well over the past week. And as he shared on Instagram in a sweet video, his wife Lauren came to the rescue giving up her own plans to take care of him.
Thomas posted the video on Instagram thanking her, saying, “I just wanted to hop on here and give a huge shoutout to my beautiful wife. I got really sick this week; stomach virus, I guess, is going around, and it freakin’ waxed me and my wife had a beach trip planned the day that I got sick, and she canceled that trip and stayed here and absolutely took care of me and our four kids like she was a superhero.” He added, “I never met Jesus in person, but what I witnessed these last few days was the patience of Jesus exhibited through a human being and that human being, being my wife. She is an angel, like legit.”
Rhett closed with, “Anyway, I love you, babe, thank you for taking such good care of me and our family. You are incredible.”
Many fans responded to the post, including one who wrote, “Awh bless ya man! You and Lauren are literal goals.” Another fan commented, “You know what the best part of this was? That you recognized it and told her. Keep it up! L O V E.” One more fan said, “Y’all are the most beautiful couple, and I adore your love. Absolute angels and kind humans all around.”
Thomas recently performed with pop star Katy Perry at the CMA Awards, where they sang their duet “What We Started.” As we reported in October, he did not think that Perry would do the duet with him. “I honestly didn’t think that Katy was going to do anything with it, much less like it. And I remember the next day Allison said, ‘Katy’s in.’ And I was like, ‘This is nuts.’ And she called me on the phone, and I was walkin’ in my kitchen. I remember my wife was in there, and the kids were in there. I was like, ‘No big deal; I’m just talkin’ to Katy Perry about something. I’ll be done in a minute.’ And it was so surreal talking to someone who, I don’t know, when I was like 16, 17 years old, Katy’s music was everybody’s anthem, everybody’s jam, and everybody’s got a favorite Katy Perry song.”
