Brothers Osborne Cancel Appearance As They Await Twins’ Birth
Brothers Osborne had to pull out of Nashville’s “Love Rising” benefit concert last night (3/20), and John Osborne posted to Instagram that the reason why they had to bow out was that his wife Lucie will be giving birth to the couple’s twins “any second now.”
John posted to his socials, “Hey y’all… with deepest apologies; we will be unable to attend tonight’s Love Rising event at Bridgestone. Turns out my and Lucie’s twins, Maybelle and Arthur, have picked up the Osborne tradition of arriving unannounced and could be here any second now!”
He continued, “Lucie is a damn warrior and is currently holding down the fort from the hospital bed as I type this. To our dear friends that will be there tonight, on and offstage, show the world what our town is made of, and let’s fight to keep Nashville full of the love, light, and inclusivity that it is known for. That is the type of place we want to raise our children. Go get ’em. Love y’all.”

The Brothers Osborne announced that John’s wife Lucie was expecting the babies at November’s (11/9) CMA Awards in Nashville. John announced it from the stage as they won an award. Backstage, John told us that he did not intend to make that announcement, but he panicked.
He said his wife had no idea he would make that personal announcement, “No, no, she did not know. Lucie didn’t know. I guess I got nervous and didn’t know what to say; Wynonna’s standing right next to me, you look up and see the clock going, and I’m like, ‘I’m so nervous right now.’ You never prepare for these. You never expect to win. I looked over, and I saw Lucie right there, and I just wanted to tell the world.”
After revealing that the couple is actually having twins, John joked, “My intention was to have twins, to raise them up as our successors, so we’ll raise them up, and we will try to use as much nepotism as possible to get them in the industry, but as long as we’re in the game I’m gonna keep them out.”
