Luke Bryan: ‘I’m One of The Mannings Now’
Luke Bryan appeared on Good Morning America this week to discuss his CMA Awards hosting duties and what’s happening in his life. The CMA Awards will be hosted by Bryan and Peyton Manning for a second year in a row on November 8, 2023, and will air live on ABC at 8 PM ET.
The GMA host asked Luke about his bond with Manning. Luke smiled and said, “Well, I’m just honored to be one of the Mannings now. That proves to be quite lucrative. Me and Peyton have a great time. Peyton’s obviously a huge country music fan and a natural. Last year was our first time together, and we just had a great time.”
Luke also talked about wrapping up his Las Vegas residency at Resorts World in late December and early January (2024). He said that he was always inspired to play Vegas as a kid after watching Elvis Presley’s Vegas specials. He said, “It’s time to move on.”

When we talked with Bryan recently, he told us how he felt about the duo’s hosting performance in 2022. He said, “I thought we did a great job together. No pun intended, I think he is a crazy pro preparer.”
He continued of his friend Manning, “He knows his brand; I know my brand. He’s a little dryer humor, and I’m a little more slapstick, I guess. When we wrapped after the show, all the producers and everybody was raving, and the rating was good, and the show was great.”
Luke also told us what he got from last year’s performance, “I think we’ve got to take what we learned from last year and build upon it. I knew we did a good job when they were trying to lock me and Peyton down that night for the following year. It was a great night, and we were excited about it. So, it’s gonna be another great night.”
