Miranda Lambert: ‘Actin’ Up’ In Vegas With Lainey Wilson
Miranda Lambert had some real fun when she caught Lainey Wilson’s show in Las Vegas recently. It was the same night the two got on stage together and sang a new song they wrote together called “Good Horses Don’t Run.”
For the show, Miranda’s husband was busy, so she took her friend and fellow songwriter Wade Bowen to the show, and the two had some serious fun backstage. Lambert posted photos and a video clip of them goofing around with song lyrics on Instagram. She captioned the post, which included pictures of her and Lainey as well, “Just some country pals actin’ up last night in Vegas! Thanks for inviting me out to sing with ya @laineywilson. Sure love you, sister. Y’all, we sang a song we wrote together with @lukedick called Good Horses. First time we have ever done it live, and whew, it did give me the chills. Can’t wait for this one.”
She added, “Also, @wadebowen, thanks for fillin’ in for @brendanjmcloughlin and being my date to watch Lainey show ’em how it’s done. We might have had a little too much fun cause we started ‘writin’ songs’ backstage. See the last slide. I promise we’re songwriters’ I don’t owe Joe Jack s— (laughing emoji). Giddy up, Vegas!”

Wilson played in Las Vegas over the weekend at The Theater at the Virgin Hotel. During the performance, Lainey surprised the crowd by bringing out Lambert; the two sang Lambert’s big smash, “Kerosene.”
The superstars also sang “Good Horses Don’t Run.” Lainey told the crowd, introducing it, “This song is so, so special, and you can hear her all over it. She helped me write the song, and I’m so proud of the song, we hope you love it.”
The song talks about cowboys and love and is called “Good Horses Don’t Roam.” The chorus of the song’s lyrics are, “I don’t need the map/ I don’t need a road / I don’t need a fence / I just need to know / if you want to love me / you don’t need to rope / you just need to know/ I don’t need a compass / I don’t need a saddle / let go of the reins baby, let me unravel / If you want to love me / you don’t need to rope/ you just need to know / Good Horses come home,”
Cowgirl Magazine posted a clip of the new song to their Instagram, writing, “@laineywilson and @mirandalambert surprised us with a new song tonight at @virginhotelslv! This duo is amazing.”
