Bryan’s mom, Annette Bryan, was someone Zach told People was “like my best friend in the world.” She died in 2016. His first studio album, DeAnn, was self-released in 2019, and the title was in honor of Annette, whose middle name was DeAnn.

Bryan played shows for fans in Australia in December. While there, he made a little girl’s dream come true. Zach was playing a show in Melbourne, Australia, and noticed a sign in the audience. It was at that moment that a little girl’s world would change.
While performing, he saw the sign that read: “4 years old: check. Middle of chemo: check. Go to Zach Bryan: check.” There was also one unchecked box on her sign: “Meet Zach Bryan.”
After he saw the sign, he motioned for the girl, who has been battling leukemia, to be brought to the front of the stage, where a security guard was holding her. He jumped off the stage, and signed her sign. Then he got back on stage with some help from a band member.
The end of the video shows the girl singing every word as Bryan sang on stage.
A family member at the show posted the video to TikTok and wrote, “Laylah’s dream fulfilled. #zachbryan #zachbryanconcert #zachbryanmusic #melbourne #fyp #leukemia #cancer.”
