Luke Bryan’s New Docu-Series Features Voice Of His Late Brother

Luke Bryan has talked often about his tragic losses in life and the fact that both his brother and sister passed away way too soon in life.

In 1996, Luke’s older brother Chris died in a car accident at the young age of 26.

Bryan’s career in Nashville started a few years later, and then Bryan married Caroline, and the couple had two boys, Bo and Tate, who are now 13 and 10-year-old. Neither of them even met Luke’s beloved brother, and now with his new docuseries, the boys get to hear their uncle Chris’ voice for the very first time.

In his new docu-series, Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary, Luke says, “My children being able to hear my brother’s voice for the first time, and know what he sounds like — stuff like that on the inside of the family is what makes this docuseries special.”

It’s because of Chris that Bryan came to love country music. In one episode of My Dirt Road Diary, Bryan recalls taking long drives through south Georgia, cranking up “Killin’ Time” by Clint Black. He also said that it was Chris’ experience at a Garth Brooks concert that set him on his path to country music.

He told Taste Of Country, “In our family, it’s going to be something really emotional to watch, and I think that’s part of the reason why we tell the story. We tell the story to let people know if they’re having stuff in their life that’s challenging and tough… that they’re not alone.
