Kelsea Ballerini And Kenny Chesney Win 2 Early CMA Awards
Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney have won the CMA’s for “Musical Event of the Year” and “Music Video of the Year” for their duet “Half Of My Hometown” ahead of the awards show tonight (11/10), and Kenny took to Twitter to celebrate.
Kenny posted to Twitter just moments ago, “Growing up in East TN, it’s a deeper kind of home. That’s what makes being part of #halfofmyhometown so special. I’m thrilled for Kelsea to have won Musical Event & Music Video of the Year! She couldn’t deserve it more & I’m honored to be a part of it. #cmaawards.”

It’s the first CMA wins for Ballerini.
Kelsea took her Insta stories this morning (11/10) to react. She said emotionally, “I’m in my car crying because I just found out that I won two CMAs awards this morning, and I’ve never won a CMA Award before. We just won for Musical Event Of The Year and Music Video Of The Year for ‘Half Of My Hometown.’ I’m so happy, I love this song. I’m so proud of this song and I love everyone that’s a part of it, Kenny Chesney holy s—. And I can’t wait to go to the show tonight and celebrate. It’s my first one! Thank you, guys.”
