Florida Georgia Line: ‘Taking A Break As Opposed To Breaking Up’
Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley were together over the weekend (2/6) at the opening of their new exhibit at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame, but it’s the first time they have been together in a while, igniting even more talk that the duo is breaking up. However, Tyler and Brian told People that that isn’t the case.
Even though the guys are on different paths at the moment as Kelley put out a solo album and will be doing a solo spring tour, they have not called it quits. Hubbard told People, “I think ‘taking a break’ is the proper term, as opposed to breaking up.”
Brian added, “We’re not going our separate ways. We’re taking a break from recording our music. We’re being artists. We love creating. And so a couple of years back, we started writing without each other and trying different writers, and now we’re both doing that with our music.”
Hubbard also pointed out that the duo is still looking forward to a dozen upcoming festival dates. He noted, “We’re sort of using these last 12 shows as a time to celebrate FGL, celebrate the fans, celebrate each other, and then support each other on the next chapter of our musical and creative journey, which is gonna be individually for a while. So we’re excited.”
