Blake Shelton Performs At Football Legend’s Hometown Festival

Blake Shelton headlined Troy Aikman’s “Highway to Henryetta” music festival on Saturday (6/11) in Oklahoma, and he took to Instagram to thank Aikman for having him.

Blake captioned an image of the two of them together, writing, “Last night was hotter than the fires of hell, but what a night, OK! Thanks to my buddy @troyaikman for having me!”

Thre football legend responded to Shelton’s post, writing, “You put the pride back in an Oklahoma town that carries a piece of my heart. Forever grateful, thank you!”

They listened to Hank, or these days you'll hear Jason Aldean blaring out of somebody's car coming from a mile away. It's just how they are, and that song is just written exactly how I live."

He said at the time, "I had to stop and just listen to this song because the song was talking to me about a place that I was in at that moment, which was a place in the middle of nowhere that meant something to me that probably nobody else could ever understand, what that is and what it is inside of me and what my connection is to the land."
