Shania Twain Will Be Inducted Into Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame
Shania Twain will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame this fall. Twain joins Steve Wariner, Hillary Lindsey, Gary Nicholson, and David Malloy in this year’s induction class. The Class of 2022 will be honored at the “52 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala” at the Music City Center on Sunday, October 30. They join 223 previously inducted members of the organization.
Having interviewed Shania for over 25 years I know that she takes a lot of pride in her songwriting, because she told me so. In my first interview with her in Nashville in 1995, she told me, “Songwriting is at my core. It’s the thing that makes me most proud.”
The Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame is voted on by professional songwriter peers and current members of the Hall of Fame. All nominees experienced their first Top 20 songs at least 20 years ago.
