This You Have To See: Gronk And Vinatieri Train For Super Bowl Field Goal
Last week Rob Gronkowski teased on social media that perhaps his tight end days were behind him (sorry not sorry about that pun) and train to kick a field goal for this years Super Bowl. No, he’s not actually playing. But he is actually training and will actually attempt to kick a field goal during a live Super Bowl ad for FanDuel on Feb. 12.
The former New England Patriot said he would enlist the help of the GOAT field goal kickers, Adam Vinatieri. Adam played with the Pats for 10 seasons and is the NFL’s all-time leading scorer who also holds the record for field goals made, post season points and overtime field goals made. So clearly, Vinatieri is a great choice to coach Gronk.
Yesterday, Rob shared a video of how his training for the big event is going.
The retired tight end will attempt to kick the ball between the posts live in Arizona during an ad for FanDuel. If he makes the field goal, any customer who placed a Super Bowl bet on FanDuel will have a shot at a share of $10 million in free bets.
