My Boyfriend Is Mad At Me, But I Was Drunk
Today on “Country Mornings with Jonathan and Ayla” We talked with Piper who’s problem is that she got a litte tipsy on New Years eve and made out with her best friend…who is male…while her boyfriend was sleeping in the next room. She doesn’t think she did anything wrong though. Why?
Here is Piper to talk about it:
“I’ve got a New Year’s Eve story for you, and I’m standing my ground on this one. So, New Year’s Eve was wild – me, my boyfriend, and our mutual best friend were having a blast. We were all pretty hammered, just living it up. Here’s the deal: my boyfriend, who couldn’t keep up, goes off to bed early. That left me and our friend to ring in the New Year. And yes, we kissed at midnight. But come on, it’s New Year’s Eve! That’s practically a tradition, isn’t it? I mean, it’s not like we planned it – it just happened.”
“The next day, our so-called friend spills the beans to my boyfriend, and now he’s all upset. But honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. We were drunk, it was New Year’s – things like this happen, right? It didn’t mean anything, just a bit of harmless fun. I didn’t think this was worth making a fuss over. It was a simple New Year’s kiss, nothing more. I mean, should I really be feeling guilty about something that happened when I was drunk and just going with the festive flow?”
“I’d love to hear your thoughts. Is this really such a big deal, or is my boyfriend overreacting? I’m pretty sure I did nothing wrong here.”
What do you think?
Is Piper right on this? We debated it and honestly can’t think of one situation where drinking is a good excuse for your behavior. Piper disagrees, how do you feel?
