Dolly Parton’s ‘Black Lives Matter’ Quote Added To Nashville Mural
Dolly Parton stays away from political discussions and does not share her political beliefs, but when she told Billboard recently her thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement one artist in Nashville who was painting a mural of Parton on a building, sat up and took notice.
Dolly told Billboard in a July 2020 interview, “Of course Black lives matter. Do we think our little white a—s are the only ones that matter? No!” It’s those words that adorn the top of Kim Radford’s mural.
The artist posted to Instagram after she added Dolly’s comment to the just-finished mural, which you can see below.
