Pi Day (3.14)
Pi Day (March 14th or 3.14) is a yearly celebration of the mathematical constant π.
The first three digits of π are 3, 1, and 4, giving it a special day every March. Pi is the ratio of any circle’s circumference to its diameter.
But how do you celebrate a mathematical day you might ask yourself? The best way we know how is to add an e to the end of Pi and topping it off with some ice cream!

Ingredients:
3 pounds mixed apples (such as Granny Smith, Gala and McIntosh)
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 disks dough for Basic Crust
1 large egg, beaten
Coarse sugar, for sprinkling
