Reba Clarifies: ‘I Do Not Get Involved In Politics’
During her long career in country music, Reba has always stayed away from politics so she doesn’t alienate anyone. It’s a smart move in this crazy political climate and Reba plans to stick with it.
Recently a political fundraiser used Reba’s image saying she would participate in a political event. However, it wasn’t true and she wasn’t happy about having her name appropriated.
Reba posted to Twitter this morning (6/11), “Last night, an invitation to a political fundraiser with my name attached was sent out without my knowledge or permission. I had and have no plans to attend this event and had told the event organizers as such.”
She added, “Throughout my career, I have stated that I do not get involved in politics and that remains true today.”

Reba did not say the nature of the fundraiser in question, but Politico reported on Thursday night (June 10) that she was slated to appear at a fundraiser for Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem over the weekend.
