Catch Of The Week: Catherine Roche
Meet: Catherine Roche from Haverhill, MA
She may be only 24 years old, but Catherine Roche is an old soul, at least she has the voice of an old soul. There’s a classic tonality and natural traditional delivery pouring out of her youthful exuberance. It makes perfect sense that Catherine’s debut EP, Beautiful Surprise, was produced by Dolly Parton’s producer. She grew up listening to everything from Janis Joplin, to Billy Joel, Johnny Cash and Miranda Lambert. Roche often connects with those influences in her writing and singing styles. Roche says she has been singing as long as she can remember, whether it was family parties or school talent shows. There was no stopping Catherine the performer. And there still isn’t! This singer/songwriter has become a New England favorite, and you will sometimes see her performing at Country 102.5 sponsored events.
