For the first time in 31 years, Hershey’s has changed its iconic Kisses Christmas Bells commercial — and not everyone is feeling jolly about it.
The updated commercial starts the same, with Hershey’s Kisses “playing” We Wish You A Merry Christmas, but then cuts to a father and his young daughter baking together.
Twitter lit up with not-so-merry reaction.
@Hersheys Your new change to the Christmas commercial with the bells is terrible. Make a separate commercial with the kid and her dad, but keep the original bells and kisses one. It reminded me of my childhood, as it did many others.

@Hersheys redid my favorite Christmas commercial of ALL time. Have loved this commercial and have looked forward to it for over 30 years!!!!! Why change it now??? Just won't be the holiday's without hearing that last Hershey's kiss let out a big "whew" at the end! Damn u 2020
