Music News

Jordan Davis and his wife Kristen are expecting their third child, and Jordan went on Twitter to share the news via a cute video where he sings to his wife in the kitchen, “Next thing you know you’ve got a baby coming in June, acted out the words in no time soon.” Davis says, “She got knocked up! Baby number three coming. Is that the way we’re saying it? You got knocked up.” She says, “There’s a better way to say it.” He says, “We’re pregnant again.”

He captioned the post, “Next Thing You Know…”

Jordan told us they’re really excited to meet their third child, but they’re waiting to find out whether it will be a girl or boy. He offered, “We got another one coming in June. I gotta figure out how to not have kids in the summer because I’m usually pretty busy. I don’t know what I was thinking then but, you know, I’m so excited. There truly is no greater joy in the world than welcoming a baby, and we don’t know what it is.”

He added, “We’re gonna wait and find out, but (we’re) really excited come June to be bringing home a baby brother or a baby sister to Lock and Eloise. So far, Kristen’s been great. Everything looks healthy, you know; we’re just continuing to pray for a safe delivery and looking forward to meeting the little fella or little girl here soon. I’m pumped.”

Jordan released his brand new album, Bluebird Days, this past Friday (2/17).

Backstage at the CMA Awards in November (11/9) after his win for Song of the Year for “Buy Dirt,” Jordan discussed moving to Nashville with his brother. “We both moved to town to write songs and just try to make a living doing that. As special as this night is, and it truly is, being in that living room of a cabin, the second ‘Buy Dirt’ was said, and the second that melody fell out and the chorus came out … We’ve all been able to witness this song from the birth of it. To think that this came out of a cabin in Murfreesboro at 9 a.m. after a quick Bible study is crazy. That is just how special and unreal music is and how grateful I am to wake up every day and write songs.”
