Country 102.5 Morning Show Host Ayla Brown To Perform At First Night Boston On New Year’s Eve
I can’t believe it, but I will be performing at First Night Boston with my husband, Rob Bellamy, on December 31st!
What Is First Night?
First Night was established on December 31, 1976. It’s become Boston’s world-famous New Year’s Eve Celebration that unites visitors with the City of Boston and local residents. Every year Boston rings in the new year with music, dancing, ice sculptures and fireworks. According to the First Night website, the event has been made entirely free, with no purchase necessary by event guests. The event is entirely funded by sponsorship and donations from members of the public. That change was made in 2015. In the past, you had to buy buttons to attend the festivities.
My Musical Life Before I Joined Country 102.5
Five years ago, I joined Country 102.5 as a morning show radio host. But before I had a full time radio job, I was a professional singer. I lived in Nashville for 10 years and toured around the country singing my songs for anyone who would listen. I wrote hundreds of songs and recorded songs and albums in fancy Nashville recording studios. Yes, I was living my best musician life and I loved every second of it.
Nashville is also where I met my now husband, Rob Bellamy. He was also a fellow Massachusetts guy, trying to make it in country music. We began writing songs together, and soon after we fell in love, got married and had a baby. We wrote and released an EP called, “Make It Mean Something,” and still to this day we continue to perform together and separately throughout the New England area.
My Husband And I Will Sing Together
On December 31st Rob and I will perform together at First Night Boston. Our set time is from 10:30pm-11:10pm. The location of the performance will be at City Hall Plaza. There will be free activities all day on December 31st starting at 11:00am. Other musicians include, Sweet Harmony, Ave & Cam, Maddie Ryan, Sons of Levin, LaQuandra Seymore and Sammy Adams will headline the show before the fireworks start at 12:00am on January 1st.
